What to do when BUYING a home

Congratulations! If you've decided to purchase your first home, or a new home, you are about to embark a very special and fun process. When buying a home you are taking on the biggest and most important investment of your life. You are about to build equity in a place that you can call home. The best part is your home is going to increase in value, what a great investment! 

As a buyer, are you finding yourself confused as to where to begin? 

First: Get pre-approved for a mortgage so you can determine what type of monthly payment you can comfortably afford.

Second: Determine where you see yourself in the future. Are you looking for a starter home, a retirement home, or a home for your growing family? 

Third: Determine what location you would like to be in, the size and style of your home, and other special criteria (i.e. finished or unfinished basement, fireplace, garage, property size, etc.)
